Sea salt, Kosher salt, Maldon, or Gros Sel all share a completely natural salt taste. Iodized salt has an unpleasant chemical taste to me that does just not belong. Many times people think I am going on about nothing here, but please try a little salt tasting to see for yourself.
Place a small pile of Kosher or Sea Salt next to some iodized salt and wetting the tip of your finger taste one after the other. I know you will become a converted natural salt cook. Kosher salt is not as intense as sea salt and recipes will need to be adjusted accordingly.
